What's Up, Y'all??
Has it really been this long since I've written in my blog? Wowzers. I've been crazy busy lately with school and work and everything else I've been doing. And, man am I happy that school is almost over. Which means my sister will be coming home from college! I'm so excited to see her :)
Update on my book: I am almost done, but I'm at a standstill right now, working on other projects. During one of my classes, I have started another story. I write in tiny, tiny font (3 lines of text per lined-paper line (if that makes sense (and another parentheses))). I've also been working on poems a lot. I just posted a new poem on my Poems Page, by the way.
So, exciting news! A couple days ago, I got an email from the university with news of the week (which I usually never read, but decided to that day). I clicked on a link and submitted an application to be a seatfiller at the American Country Awards on December 5th right here in Las Vegas! And I got accepted!!! I am so stoked and I get to go with my best friend Brittany! I love love love country music and Kristin Chenoweth is one of the hosts! I'll let you know how that goes!
I hope you have a great great week and are prepared for winter!!
God Bless,
Terina

New Page
So, instead of taking space up on my main blog page, I have created a new page to display my poems. You should still be able to leave comments (and I would really appreciate if you did). I will be adding some new poems soon, but I will also post that so you can know when they come out! Hope you enjoy and are having a great day!

Seasons of Love
Surprise! Another poem!
Seasons of Love
Temperatures cooler
Colors change the trees
Leaves fall
And the memory of summer flees.
My dear love
You have left me so
Standing here alone
Amidst the falling snow.
I have forgotten
Yet you come back for me
Running through the flowers
You are the only one I see.
Heat scorches the sky
Summer sun beats down
I'm standing with you here
In my beautiful white gown.
Back to cool weather
I stand looking at this tree
You will never leave me again
This memory will never flee.

Runaway
Another poem. Enjoy!
Runaway
A girl stands alone
Her toes in the sand
A pebble in one hand
The pebble isn't the answer
She knows this is true
She knows not what to do
The boy at home disturbs her thoughts
Takes her away from this
The opportunities she'll miss
The pebble splashes the water
Droplets splash her legs
The life she's missing begs
One thought enters her mind
She's running away
Running on this very day.

Seal Dreamin'
Another original poem story by Terina. I came up with it at work. I don't know what it means, but it's pretty cute. Here ya go!
Seal Dreamin'
I'm swimming through an ocean of dreams,
Fishing through what's real.
"Keep swimming," I tell myself,
When I happen upon a little seal.
"Help me," he cried,
Tears streaming down his skin.
"I don't understand,
Why am I missing a fin?"
"Oh, poor little seal,
Come on over here."
He flops over
As I rub his little ears.
"Now, now, little seal,"
As his tears keep streaming.
I don't believe this is real.
I know I must be dreaming.
I rub the seal's head and say,
"A fin is what you lack."
Acting as a fairy, I say,
"Now your fin will grow back!"
"Did it work, did it work?"
The seal asks eagerly.
Disappointed in myself,
I decide to look heavenly.
"Little seal, little seal,
What shall we do?"
I get an idea and exclaim,
"This is what makes you, you!"
"What do you mean?
I can't do any special tricks.
All the other seals," he cries,
"Can swim and play and do flips."
"You're very special,"
I tell the little seal.
"Your mouth, your mouth," I point.
"Tell me what you feel!"
"My tongue?" the seal answers,
And sticks his big tongue out.
"Your voice, little seal,
Now don't sit around and pout!"
"You can talk, little seal,
That's what you can do!
You may be missing a fin,
But this is very special, too!"
"Use your voice, say it loud.
Tell them how you came to be.
And when you're done,
Please come and visit me!"
I open my eyes.
My dream is now done.
I open the curtains to reveal
Glints of a rising sun.
"Thanks for your help!"
I hear the seal's voice in my head.
Feeling satisfied,
I fall back into my bed.
Maybe you're the little seal
Waiting for someone like me
To come along and help you
Meander through life's open sea.
Tell me how you like it!

Original Poem by Terina
The following poem is the first thing I see when I open my writing composition book. It does not reflect my life, as some may think; it is just a poem I came up with. Enjoy!
Falling
You're looking at me,
I'm looking at you.
Could it be true?
Am I really falling for you?
We are best friends,
But now things have changed.
I'm falling in love with you,
My life is being rearranged.
I'm falling for you even more.
Thoughts race through my head.
And I realize who you're looking at:
It's the girl behind me instead.
